Things have been complicated for Inflammammal of late.  Perhaps what's needed is simply a  pear, peach and apple, otherwise unadorned.

So similar, yet both essential:

Brand new to my collection, published in 1916, this Sunkist cookbook has no color illustrations other than the outside & inside covers, but oh, what covers!  That peeled orange/glass of lemonade with lemon slices is really choice.

While I'm at it, here are two WPA posters that pretty much blow my mind and fit this blog's leanings best (again, I don't own these):

A label like this, with a bunch of nicely illustrated oranges, both whole *and* canned citrus together, is bliss to me.

Another knockout from a '40s seed and flower catalog.  Does the peach named "Champion" still exist as a heirloom variety?  Sure hope so.

One runs into this can label rather often, but scarcity wouldn't make it any less meritorious.
