Here we have a detail from a 1947 ad placed in Family Circle by the "Council on Candy of the National Confectioners' Association", an "organization devoted to the dissemination of authoritative information on candy".  One sees many of their ads in late 40s magazines.  How irresponsible, yet also how fun!  The "in bag' is most enticing of the three, obviously.
