Another example of candy being promoted as beneficial to health, providing needed "food energy" in the form of dextrose.  

I was forced to photograph rather scan this because this ad's 12" by 21" and I refuse to cut my very favorite piece (it shall be framed soon) in halves.  To me, it is jaw-dropping, caused a real dropped jaw when I came to this page in the LIFE magazine I'd bought.

It is a dream find for me, with my child's love of candy and bright colors.  I am aesthetically infantile.

Curtiss brand candies produced consistently great ads.
