From time to time in ephemera collection one faces a dilemma of sorts: a genuinely beautiful item that casually depicts racial horror, if genteelly and (as though it were possible) tastefully.
Less directly disturbing, or at least less specific, we have this interesting linen postcard depicting part of the cotton transport along the Mississippi; not dated, unfortunately.
Largely food-related, but any beautiful old illustration from oh 'bout 1910 to 1955 or so. All items on this page are from my own collection, unless otherwise stated.
